Obituary

Mother Carolyn W. Jackson was born December 18, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Willie and Carrie Graves.

Mother Jackson accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful and dedicated lifetime member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher and Mother Board.

Mother Jackson departed her earthly life on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. God dispatched his angels and whispered to Carolyn, “You have kept the faith and fought a good fight, come home my child and take your eternal rest.” We pause now to give honor and glory to God for sharing her with us for seventy-seven years.

Mother Jackson was preceded in eternal rest by two children, Yulonda Jackson and Charles Jackson; three siblings, Jill Mills, Willie Graves and Gruthie Robinson.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Yvonne Jackson, Darrell Jackson, Angelena Jackson, William Jackson (Ashley), Timothy Mills and Bruce Jackson; six sisters, Annie Ruth Robinson, Joann Franklin (Frank), Mary Jean Isham (Perry), Betty Crayton (Greg, Juanita Graves and Charlene Graves (Brooks); one brother, Davie Graves (Sheila); twenty-four grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a very good & devoted friend, Ms. Mary.
