Obituary

Eddie Marshall Jr. (Pindercat) son of the late Eddie Marshall Sr. and Irene Cadney Marshall was born October 1, 1941 in Port Gibson. Eddie departed this life Sunday October 11, 2020.

Eddie is preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Smith, Beatrice Cadney, Agnes Harper, Rosa Lee Farmer; and his brother, Charles Marshall.

Eddie joined Mt Olive Baptist Church in Lorman, MS at an early age.

Eddie graduated from East Floral High School in Mississippi where he was an outstanding basketball player under the mentorship and coaching of the late Orsmond Jordan.

Eddie later went to school to become a commercial truck driver in St. Louis and worked for Mayflower for many years and made a career of driving trucks until retirement.

Eddie lived in Queens, NY in 1970 before making Atlanta his home for over 30 years.

Later in life Eddie married Veronica Williams on September 1, 2018, where he gained her son, D’Andre Dupree and daughter, Tiffany Williams who loves him dearly.

Eddie never met a stranger. He was outgoing, loved to dance, play cards, was the life of the party, willing to lend a helping hand, always on the prayer line praying for people, always wore a big smile that could light up a room and what a laugh he had.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Veronica Marshall; children, Eddie Anthony Marshall (St. Louis), John Marshall (NY), Francine Marshall Goode (Edmond, SC), Carlton Marshall (Michele, MI); one sister, Clarice Black; grandson, Calvin Andrew Mudayh; granddaughter, Morgan Marshall; (Auntie Little), Mattlie Clark; uncle, Leander Cadney, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
