Obituary

Leasie Leonard was born September 22, 1962, in Donalsonville Georgia, to the late Charlie B. and Daisy Williams. On Tuesday, November 10, 2020 she transitioned to her eternal home.

Leasie attended Seminole County Training school and Seminole County Middle School, Graduating from Seminole County High in 1980. She was a standout basketball player.

Upon graduation from high school, Leasie attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College on a basketball scholarship. She later attended Middle Georgia College of Cochran Georgia.

Leasie’s church affiliation began at an early age at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Donalsonville, Ga. Under the leadership of Rev. J.R. Gamble.

Leasie relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in May of 1985. On May 18,1985, she married the love of her life Bertram Leonard. By the grace of God, to this union two children were born, Nicholas and Alexis Leonard, the joy of their life.

On August 11, 2002, The Leonard family joined the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Earl L. Calloway. She served faithfully until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband: Bertram Leonard, Children: Nicholas Leonard of Portland, Maine; Alexis Leonard of East Point, Ga. Siblings: J'Lindsey Williams (Relois) of West Palm Beach, FL; Clara Sue Spencer of Donalsonville,Ga; Calvin Williams (Brenda) of Dallas Tx; Bettye Williams (Willie) of Phoenix, Arizona; Dora Smith of Donalsonville, Ga; A host of nieces, nephews whom she cherished; other relatives and friend.

To the Leonard Family,

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we extend to you our deepest condolences with the passing of our beloved sister, best friend, aunt, neighbor, daughter and sister friend Leasie. Ms. Leasie will truly be missed in the community and our church home.

Mr. Bert, Nicholas and Alexis, please remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Just know Ms. Leasie is resting beautifully on the crown of Glory and she has earned her way into God’s heavenly home.
We will always be here for you.
