Marjorie received her secondary education at Happy Grove High School. Following high school, she went on to receive training in the nursing field.
In her native Jamaica, Marjorie made use of her nurse’s training by serving at Bellevue Hospital. Upon immigrating to the United States, Marjorie began working as an administrative assistant. Her final role prior to retirement was serving as an administrative assistant at GMAC of New York.
Marjorie was loved by everyone. She enjoyed tending to her plants, dancing, and going on bus trips with family & friends. She always donned her signature hat when she left home, and soon became known to many as “Hat Lady.” Marjorie also became a fixture at the roller skating rinks, where her son Howard worked for many years. Marjorie had a wonderful dry sense of humor, and was always the life of the party. She will truly be missed by those who were fortunate to have known her.
